1866: Tom Petrie planted macadamia trees at Yebri Creek in Australia. 1916: Tom Petrie started making an attempt out macadamia farms in Maryborough, Queensland, planting them with pecan bushes to protect them. 1860s: King Jacky, an elder from an Aboriginal tribe close to Brisbane, Queensland, was one among the first identified individuals to commerce macadamias. He acquired the nuts from Aboriginal individuals.
