Termite frass are important indicators of active termite infestation. Drywood termite droppings appear as 1mm oval-shaped droppings with six concave sides, resembling fine pepper in dark brown colors depending on the cellulose source. Unlike carpenter ant debris, termite pellets have a uniform shape and may emit a distinctive smell. Recent termite activity often appear near window sills where termite galleries expel waste.
